Have you joined the madness that is NaNoWriMo yet? This first week has flown by. Well technically it's not been a week yet, but it'll be tomorrow right?

Can' show the book cover for this story so here's my hubby (posing like a GQ model) and me at Deauville, when some scenes of the story are set. |
I've been working on a new draft of my old story Rain over Normandy. It's called simply "Normandy" and although I have the same old characters, the story has taken a more personal turn. I'm loving the characters, and the way the story is going. So here's a #ROUGHDRAFT of Normandy.
“So?” Anna asks looking at him.
“She has a boyfriend.”
“Oh come on, Aurelien. You can't be this dense. If she’s making out with you, she doesn’t like her boyfriend that much.”
“She does… she said it was a mistake.”
“Wow… Her mouth sucked on your neck by mistake?” Anna asks fuming as she stands up.
“Non, qu'est ce que tu vas faire?” He asks annoyed as he holds on to her wrist. “you can’t go talk to her.” He chides Anna as she yanks her hand away.
“That’s it… What is going on?” My granddad asks as he stops cutting the onions and glares our way.
“Stephanie gave Aurelien a hickey.” Anna spits furiously as Aurelien glares at her.
“Anna has been making out with Rebbe Goldstein’s son.” Aurelien says triumphantly.
“Aurelien hasn’t finished clearing the cellar like you asked him.” Anna says turning to look at him.
“Anna spent the whole night with Yakov.”
“Aurelien drove the car too close to the wall and nicked the paint job.”
“Anna spent two hundred euros in a pair of jeans.” He says smirking.
“Aurelien was fired from his gap year job, and that’s why he was here ahead of time.” She says as Aurelien sits on the sofa as if she’d stabbed him in the heart.
“Ça suffit!” Grandpere says as he looks between us and then sighs. “Do you have anything to add, Victoria?”
“No, sir. I’m fine… I’m just … going to sit here and say nothing else.” I tell him as he turns to look at the twins.
