Day 10th vs Day 59th
If anyone would have told me, last year, that I would be half way through a 100 day work out challenge this year, I would have laughed in their face. Completing 40 day challenges like PiYo and other programs always felt like a chore, and then I would just stop working out for a few weeks, the start again.
This time around I added the one mile walk that I used to do before PiYo. Adding it, had helped the last time with y weight management and also it got rid of the belly fat. I'd managed to go down to 205lbs, from 265lbs. This time, I weighed at 250lbs, give or take a pound, but I've not gone on the scales because I want to continue to focus on getting rid of the problem areas without stressing over how little I've lost in terms of weight. I can see the effects the exercise is having in my body. I can see clothes fitting tons better, and that's enough for now.
One thing I wasn't expecting this time around was to see the weird changes in my stomach. As I didn't document my PIYO journey with the diligence of this workout, I can't compare the two, but I can compare the early days of Morning Meltdown 100 to the latter days.
This picture was taken eleven days apart...
My stomach is doing all kinds of funky things lol
My stomach is going down, which probably means I'm burning a lot of fat around my midriff, yay. But that makes the stomach itself look all kinds of weird. There'll be a bump at the top of my midriff, then it'll go to the bottom of it. Inches will vanish from the sides, but then a few weeks later, I'll see the little bumps, smaller than before, but yet, still there.
The last time I saw myself without a huge belly was back in 2003 after I'd lost a lot of weight on WW but I ended up gaining it all back... and about twenty more pounds. So this time around, I"m excited about the possibilities of decreasing my waist size, which will help a lot, since having a big waist, and a high BMI is really a bad thing for the body.
In eight days I'll be reaching Day 70 and then there'll only be a month or so left in my MM100 calendar. I'm looking at other work outs, though my friends are currently doing Barre Blend and apparently it's the bomb, though they also hate it, which means they're rocking it.
Do you have any work out suggestions?
