Exercise, Food and Water

May vs August
Day 15th vs Day 71

Someone messaged to ask about my diet, since I've only spoken about the workout and the one mile walk I try to do every day.

I'm not following a diet, per se, just focusing on things that fuel the body. Increasing veggies, and fruits, but also my water intake.

Nothing is off limits, only excess is banned from my diet. In the past, restrictive diets killed my progress. I tried a few programs, losing the weight for a while, then putting it back on. So I decided that I would just continue to do the choices that I want my kids to make. Eat more veggies and fruits, and less processed foods and take out.

If you follow my Instagram you know that I'm a baker. I bake loads of pastries, heavy in carbs, and sweets. However, I don't always eat the stuff that I bake. Mostly, because by the time I'm done with the process, I'm craving something else.

My grandmother, who was slender all her life, and healthy, used to say everything in Moderation. That's just the best advice.

So I still order pizza, but only have two slices, and we go on a mile walk after dinner. I don't indulge in dessert every day, but I keep gummies, low in sugar, or sour ones, and have ONE after dinner. If I want something sweet.

Our meals consist of a lot of veggies, and I've incorporated vegan ground beef, and tofu, so that we eat less beef, and chicken. But because we eat a lot of veggies, rice/past or potatoes as well as meat, is the smaller side on the plate.

Also, I noticed that since I used a water calculator to find out exactly how much water I need a day, it's also helped with my appetite and controlled my cravings. In order to ensure that I'll drink all I need, I bought a big 32 fl ozs bottle from Devico on Amazon. (no this isn't a sponsored post, I actually bought it.) Keeping track of your water is important, not only it helps you with hydration, and also keeping cravings at bay, it makes your skin look Fabulous!

But don't take my word for it, give it a try, and let me know how you're getting on. :)
