Day 76
Last week didn't go according to plan, and that's okay. One thing I've learned throughout this process is that sometimes it's okay to take a break. Sometimes it's okay to post pone a major work out and do something less stressful on your body like going for that one mile walk.
The photos above were taken four weeks apart. I can see how my yoga pants fit better, and I definitely can see how that under belly is shrinking. The tshirt also fits better. In all, it's not been a bad work out month.
However, before yesterday, I was beating myself up over the amount of times that I've only gone for a one mile walk and I've not exercised. The times that I've had to postpone a work out because my back hurt, or my hips, have been disappointing, and I've thrown myself a pity party.
If you take pictures, you can compare. You can see the difference, and then you won't be pitiful, or throw yourself a pity party. Looking at the progress in pictures is what keeps me sane. So I'm trying to learn that going on a one mile walk is still considered exercise. And that postponing a work out because your body's telling you to, is not a defeat, but you must learn to listen to your body.
So yes, it's okay to take a break, it's okay to restart. What it's not okay is to give up. :)
