Saturday Poetry: Miscarriage

 Miscarriage

By Marilyn Jeulin

Bleeding.

Staining.

Unrepentant pain.

Straining,

Rupturing.

A heart in the rain.

You came in a dream.

Left in a nightmare.

You took everything

And gave me nothing but tears.

Never-ending pain.

Never-ending longing.

I wish I could have held you

at least once.

I wish you didn’t have to say goodbye.
