Pink Generation: Orchid Rose Fresh

Spare: Kamal Matthew Fresh

Kamal and Orchid grew up poor, in a rundown apartment for most of their elementary school days in San Myushuno, and later moved out to a house in Winderburg. They didn't see their parents much, so from the very beginning, Kamal and Orchid had a strong bond that would only grow in time. It wasn't just that they were twins, but having to rely on each other, and afraid of being taken away from their parents, even if they weren't there most of the time, they learned to rely on each other and keep most things secret from other adults.

Of course the kids didn't really know what their parents were really up to. They just thought they were salary people and that's why they worked long hours. For the most part the twins grew up shielded from the darker side of their parents' lives by their maternal grandmother Amethyst and aunt Clementine.

However, their grandmother and mother were estranged for a few years which made things difficult on the kids. They would run away after school in order to meet Amethyst and Clementine in Brittechester most days, before hurrying home to San Myushuno, and later Winderburg.

The twins lived blissfully unaware of their parents life of crime, until they hit their teen years, and their dad was arrested. After his first night in jail, Kayden spent more and more time in jail, until his death in a car accident, as he tried to evade the cops.

Grandma Amethyst and the Twins

By the time the twins became teenagers, their strongest relationships were with Amethyst and Clementine, which annoyed Sunset. She had always been there for the kids, or at least tried to, but it seemed that no matter what she did, or how much she sacrificed, the twins preferred her sister and her mother to her. They also had a very close relationship with Violet Schmitt's kids. Violet was Amethyst's younger cousin, and best friend. And the twins spent a lot of time around her kids, particularly Art and Tricia. So much in fact, that the family started calling Orchid, Kamal and Tricia the triplets.

Once they hit the teen years, the twins began to wear clothes that matched, though never were the same. They looked around all the thrift shops for things that would make them stand out, and had a lot of hand me downs from their grandpa, Matthew, and Grandma Amethyst, including their kimono's which they'd worn to the Festival of Light.

Amethyst encouraged the kids to study and have good grades, so they could attend university. She also encouraged their passion for writing. When the twins were older, she hired a tutor, Testuya, who was the grandson of one of Matthew's old college friends, to help the twins with their college essays.

Tetsuya Morita and Orchid

A little while after meeting Tetsuya, Orchid developed a crush on him, but knew that the age difference was a big impediment for them to get together. She started dating Ryland Rocca, a fellow classmate, and friend of her brother's.

Ryland Rocca and Orchid

However, Ryland didn't seem to be that much into her. And for the most part, he seemed to be a lot into the physical aspects of a relationship, which Orchid wasn't ready for. Still, she dated him with an open mind, though she had a huge crush on Art Schmitt, and Tetsuya. Plus he was fun to hang around with, as he knew the best clubs, and was always the life of the party.

Ryland and Orchid

Soon it was obvious that Orchid had become the third wheel whenever she, Kamal and Tricia went out. So she did whatever a good sister should do, and complete hang out around them all the time. Playful and a prankster, Orchid made sure that whenever her brother wanted alone time with Tricia, she would throw a party, invite people over to watch a movie, or just crash their alone time in the bedroom.

Tricia and Kamal

Still, Kamal and Tricia found ways to outdo Orchid's scheming and shortly before the end of High School, they found out they were expecting a baby. Orchid went into full Best Sister Forever and Auntie mode, and organized the best night out for Kamal to propose to Tricia.

Tricia and Kamal

And later organized their nuptials in a small San Myshuno's disco. The party was small, but the important thing was for Tricia and Kamal to have a blast before their baby was born.

After the wedding, Ryland's birthday rolled around, and again, Orchid, wtih her limited funding, tried to throw a rocking birthday party for him. She invited the usual suspects, and made the cake herself. Everything seemed to be going great, but at the end of the party, she could tell Ryland's attention was somewhere else. Orchid decided that she should give him one last chance, and if things didn't work out, she would end the relationship, after all, he still wanted to pressure her into having sex, even though she didn't want to.

One night, when Orchid was at the library studying with her tutor at the college library, Sunset received Orchid's boyfriend, Ryland. Without thinking it twice, she seduced the college student, and slept with him. Orchid walked in on them, and after yelling at them and declairing her mother her enemy, she picked up her kitten, Lorelai, and the few things she owned, and ran away from home to Sulani.

After sleeping rough for a few days, Orchid pulled together the money that Matthew and Amethyst had left for her, and bought a small patch of land in Sulani. She worked hard during the weekends, and slept rough in a tent for a year until she started saving more money to buy a tiny house.

The twins monkeying around

Orchid threw a big bash after moving in, feeling proud of herself for managing to get the tiny house. Her family had been extremely wealthy thanks to her four times great-grandmother Minty Fresh and her four times great-grandfather Laurent Collins, leaving a sizeable amount of money to their daughter Rose, who was National Leader. Her son, Bowie, had become a very well known astronaut, and also left a small fortune to his kids, and so did Grisfils, his son, and Grandma Amethyst father. However, none of that wealth trickled down to the twins, so they were grateful for the little money that Amethyst and Matthew had set aside for their grandkids.

Ocean with Dad, Kamal and Auntie Orchid

On Christmas day after spoiling Ocean rotten with cookies, and toys that she'd found at the thrift shop, Tetsuya stayed behind to help Orchid. And after finishing the cleaning and tidying up, Tetsuya pulled her in to a hug, so they could take a picture together and then kissed her.

Tetsuya and Orchid dated for a few years, and got married, though their marriage was one of convenience. Orchid wasn't ready for a sexual relationship, and although Tetsuya liked her a lot, he understood that it was never going to happen. So when he received a call about an inheritance, and that he would have to be married in order to receive it, he was straight with Orchid. They decided to split the money in half. And that's what they did, they married, and lived together for eight days, and then divorce, no hard feelings, remaining best of friends.

Orchid dated a few guys, but nothing ever came close to being serious. She was also too much of a workaholic to get into any serious relationships. Her main goal was to make money and spend time with people she liked and loved, mainly her family, and especially her nephew Ocean, and later her nieces,  About a year after divorcing Tetsuya, their relationship was still strong, and as he nursed a very drunk Orchid the old feelings began to stir once more, only now they felt like the real thing. A few days later, Tetsuya asked her out on a date, and Orchid realized that all she wanted was Tetsuya.

Soon they got engaged, and began planning a huge wedding. A few days later, Kamal and Orchid were told their half-sister, Kayden's daughter from a previous marriage, Kennedi, had passed away, leaving behind three small girls, triplets. Arianna, Alejandra and Autumn. Kamal couldn't take them in, as he already had three children, Ocean, Alli and Everly. Orchid's first instinct was to take the girls in, but Kamal tried to dissuade her. Orchid decided to talk to her Aunt, Clementine, and see what she had to say, when Clementine agreed that one of the twins should take the kids in, Orchid made up her mind. She talked it over with Tetsuya, who was pretty much all in, and later, they flew to Henford-n-Bangley to pick the girls up, and bring them back to Sulani.

Nothing could prepare her for how much she adored the triplets, like she adored all her nieces and nephews, and was happy that she and Tetsuya had decided to adopt the kids themselves. A scale down wedding was made the most special day by the kids joining in. And a few days later, she found out that she was expecting her first child. Being an older mother, she began to worry that she wouldnt' have much time with her baby, but she tried not to let that bother her too much.

Orchid and Tetsuya watched as not only Peach Clementine started to grow, but also the triplets. Soon the girls started to date, and gave Orchid and Tetusya a taste of what dealing with teenagers is like. Most of the time they were great girls, but they liked to push boundaries.
Autumn, Arianna and Alejandra

Orchid and Tetsuya convinced the very outgoing teens to hold their club meetings at the house. After all, they lived right on the beach, and there were tons of activities for the kids. The girls knew that they just wanted to keep a watchful eye over them, but couldn't deny the advantages that their house provided when it came to club meetings, and so, they started, begrudgingly, to invite their friends over.
Autumn, Ocean, Dana, Alejandra, Lincoln and Arianna

Alejandra finally worked up the nerve to ask Dana out, after speaking to Tetsuya and Orchid, and coming out as bisexual. Autumn had a huge crush on Lincoln's brother, Alvin, but hardly ever spoke to him, and Lincoln and Arianna became official almost as soon as they started to date.

Meanwhile, Tetsuya and Orchid longed for more time together with their girls. However, life kept on going, and soon they found how short parents' time really is when it comes to the time they spend with their children.

The first one to leave the house was Arianna, who married Lincoln Fresh. Followed by Autumn, who finally got Alvin to ask her out, and marry her.

After the girls moved out, the middle child, Alejandra, remained at home with Orchid and Tetsuya and little Peach. She'd not had much luck with women or men, and though she was dating Abel, who was one of Orchid's cousins, Tetsuya thought he wasn't good enough for Alejandra.
Woojin, Orchid, Clementine, Kamal and Landyn

Knowing that their aunt Clementine's time was coming to an end, Orchid and Kamal organized a day trip to Mt Komorebi, for them, Clementine and their uncles Woojin and Landyn. They visited all the places Clementine remembered going with Matthew and Amethyst, and exchanged stories of their mother with her brothers, and her grandpa Grisfils. After hitting the slopes, they went to the park to take a photo in the same spot where Sunset  married Westley before marrying Kendy.

A day after their trip to Mt. Komorebi, Clementine died peacefully at home with her children. And later on, Matthew and Peach celebrated their birthdays on New Years' Day. With the last of the postcards completing her collection, Orchid and Tetsuya could start making plans for their retirement. Though the girls all laughed at that, since they're both workaholics.
The Girls

Abel finally proposed to Alejandra, who took her sweet time to accept. In the end Tetsuya made his peace with him, but still made sure to tell him how he was not worthy of his daughter.

Tetsuya and Orchid made sure to take a few more days off to spend with Peach and do all the things she wanted to do, as they'd not really been able to take any family vacations.

And they even spent a few days at Amethyst and Matthew's old house in Brittechester with Arianna and Lincoln, after she gave birth to their first grandson Guy Fresh.

And just like that, it was time for Orchid's last birthday, which was a rocking party to boot. The girls had made sure that their dad got a nice party, but they may have gone all out for their mother and their Uncle Kamal.

Autumn also announced that she was pregnant with her first child at the party, and Tetsuya felt the need to tell Alvin that if he screwed things up with his daughter, he would return from the dead and haunt him forever.

In the end, Orchid aged up, and confessed to having never felt as loved as she did that night. Thanking her daughters, she cried happy tears, because their love, and the mere fact that she'd been their mothers had erased all the painful memories of her own childhood.
