Idk why I'm so emotional over this but after seeing that the preorder is live, I shed a tear... maybe because my relationship with the island has always been complicated, maybe because a lot of personal healing has happened as I wrote the books. The island always meant loss. I lost all the important people in my life whilst living there. So escaping the island was how I kept going forward. I've lived outside the island longer than I ever lived there. And I guess that's why I felt that it was an auspicious time to write my love letter to Puerto Rico.

These books are infused with so many memories, and feelings, I even stole my friends Blanca Iris Marin - Caly and Vanessa Marin Roman surnames. 😂 Anyway tomorrow I shall start getting my playlists and inspiration boards ready.
