The first book in what has become my love letter to Puerto Rico is officially available on Amazon, Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and in paperback.
This series is incredibly close to my heart. I grew up in Puerto Rico, and after moving back to the mainland in 1998, I always knew I wanted to write something shaped by my real experiences on the island — the culture, the history, the magic, and the ache of leaving home. Writing these books has been a way of reconnecting with my roots, my childhood, and the stories that shaped me.
Casa de Ánimas follows Cassandra “Cassie” Marín Beiro, who left Puerto Rico at twelve and never expected to return. Decades later, she receives a call from a lawyer handling her estranged cousin’s estate — the old family house in Guayama, now hers.
It also follows former K‑pop idol Kwoon Joon‑Ho — known to the world as Jools of Eclipse Noir, and to Puerto Rico as Julian Kwon, a high‑profile lawyer.
When Cassie and Julian meet, sparks fly — not because of instant chemistry, but because of Cassie’s gift. She’s a channeler, able to connect with spirit, and the house has been waiting for her.
The story blends tropes such as:
returning home
forced proximity
family inheritance
celebrity × non‑celebrity
lawyer × client
All set against the lush, haunted beauty of Puerto Rico — especially Guayama, the town of witches.
Book Two, Casa Encanto, and Book Three, Casa Coquí, are both available for pre‑order on Amazon.
